wrote Andrew McMains of ADWEEK, after learning that Northeast Media Associates, in conjunction with Black Fly Media, produced the :30 PSA that led to the arrest of the infamous mob boss, James "Whitey" Bulger.
Northeast Media Associates and Black Fly Media, both Maine-based small businesses, recently collaborated with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Boston Division to produce a 30-second public service announcement on the notorious James “Whitey” Bulger case. This is the first time the FBI has ever embarked on a media campaign involving a PSA for a Top Ten Most Wanted criminal case. Bulger is on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list for numerous crimes including 19 counts of murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the Boston area during the 1970’s. The PSA focuses on Bulger’s companion at the time of his disappearance, Catherine Greig.
